Ahhh... Bernkastel-Kues. As Rick Steves might well have said, Bernkastel-Kues is a charming village set on the banks beautiful Mosel River in the heart of the picturesque Eifel Region of western Germany's wine country. Apparently, if you fancy yourself a wine drinker this is the place to be. We ventured out on a whim on our anniversary. It is only 30 minutes from home, and well worth the drive.
Some old beautiful medieval castle.
Six years ago we were married in the San Diego Temple. So glad we decided to do that. Seriously.
Sadie is loving all the parks everywhere. She found a new love for teeter-totters/see-saws.

Wow it is so beautiful there! I am so jealous. And I'm impressed you were able to consolodate everything you needed to take into what you did! What did you do with the stuff you had to leave behind? And how did you traverse the airports with all that luggage? I wish so bad we could afford to visit you while you're out there! It just looks so amazing.
I am so glad you're there and safe and having FUN! And I, selfishly, am so happy I get to experience Germally through your photos:)
Looks like so much fun. What a beautiful village! I love those half-timber houses out there. Make sure to get some Nutella Icecream for me. That's the only place I've ever seen it. So yummy! Are your girls adjusting ok?
These are amazing pictures, you guys are so lucky to be able to be having this amazing experience.

Um...I kind of can't believe you live in Germany. On a scale of 1-10, how does it rate with Richmond? (hehe)
