CA in a nut shell....

I have been neglecting my duty as a fellow contributor to the blog world, which I am very ashamed of and I am now about to redeem myself with this lovely post. In October Mark went to Jamaica to help save the teeth of the people there. I will let him explain that in the next post. Since he has been gone a lot on externships and in Jamaica I was getting lonely and tired if taking care of Sadie all by myself so Sadie and I decided to go see what the fam was up to in sunny California. (I would not recommend flying alone with a 10 month old.) A splendid time was had by all. Sadie made her first trip to Disneyland and Knotts berry farm, 2 of my favorite hot spots in Cali. It was so fun to take her. I love introducing her to new things and sharing first experiences with her. I think she liked it. She even got to ride a few rides.

Disneyland/CA Adventure

Doesn't she look great in her Disney get up?
We were partners on this ride.

The sisters back together at last.

Knotts Berry Farm

One thing I learned is that Sadie loves huge, dill pickles just like me. She sucked that thing dry. Once when I was a teenager I was on the Oceanside Pier and I wanted a pickle so bad but I had no money I asked a lady if I sang for her if she would give me a dollar so I could buy a pickle. So I sang "Earl had to die" by the Dixie Chicks and I got my self a pickle.

Mother doing the whole grandma thing really well. Thanks for watching her while we went on all the rides.

The rest of the trip
I was also fortunate enough to go out just in time for Hayley's bridal shower. She is getting married next month in Hawaii. The shower was a luau theme. How appropriate huh? She even got to wear a real lei.
Me and my little sisters. I rule the roost. jk.

With my dad out of town for work and Jay on a mission poor Nick was stuck with all of girls. We felt bad for the kid so we decided to show up at his last H2O polo game with all matching pink shirts with Go NICK type paraphernalia on it. We wanted to embarrass him but I think he really liked it.
Oh and I also became a huge fan of the High School Musicals.
