Sea Side

Have you ever seen the movie "The Truman show"? I haven't seen it in years, but I remember him living in this perfect little town with perfect cookie cutter houses with perfect little yards. Well, we went and took a little visit to Seaside where the movie was filmed and it is exactly that. It was so picturesque that we think that the town had its own dress code. Women were prancing around with sundresses and fancy hats. Men were wearing polo shirts and salmon colored shorts (probably J. Crew), with loafers or deck shoes (no socks, of course). Even the kids (who are referred to as "children") were wearing their sunday best and so well-behaved. It was like a little dream town. Anyway, we visited the beach. Very beautiful, of course. We split 1 taco that cost $17, and then got about 1/2 tsp of ice cream for $5. Well, maybe I am exaggerating a bit, but note to self: pack lunch next time. As dusk set in, we sat on a big amphitheater-like lawn in the middle of town and listened to some local bluesy band. Pretty fun. The lawn was so nicely mowed that it was like sitting on a putting green. It was a perfect little day in a perfect little town.

Next time I will have to get more pictures of the perfect little town.

We also had a little fun trying to get Sadie to model.

that red chair is the perfect let's make a model picture chair. Sadie makes the perfect model too. I especially like the look back over the shoulder pose.

that town sounds pretty awesome and a little creepy too.

I LOVE these pictures- beautiful. I want to go there, but if we did we'd probably have to split that $17 taco four ways.

p.s. Makenna and Sadie have the same shoes...they're obviously "sole" sisters.

Beauty everywhere! I must visit Seaside. Mainly because I TOTALLY want to stay at the Vera Bradley Inn there. I'm so jealous:) Miss Sadie is a great model.
